About ISLAM
The relationship between your heart, tongue, and environment is an important one to understand. Once you are able to recognize their influence on each other, you are better able to control each one, and focus them together on Allah.
First lets center on the importance of a sincere heart. Allah swt warns us in the Quran, “The day when wealth and children will not benefit anyone except he who will come to Allah with a sound heart” [26:88-89]. This single verse embodies the sole measure of success in the afterlife. How will you stand on the day of judgment? Look at your heart. His sermon was delivered on the Ninth Day of Dhul-Hijjah (Islamic Calendar) i.e. 10 A.H. on Mount of Rahmat in the plains of 'Arafat in Mecca, during the Hajj pilgrimage.
After praising and thanking Allah the Prophet (saws) said: "O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying very carefully and take these words to those who could not be present here today.
O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that he will indeed reckon your deeds. Allah
