Co Director
Kinza Asif, MSW, LSW
Dr. Kinza is a licensed social worker by the Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board of Ohio as of 2017 and is working towards her independent licensure. Kinza has about 5 years of social work experience in non-profit, community mental health, and school settings. She has done advocacy work with domestic violence/sexual assault victims and currently works with children/families experiencing behavioral and mental health issues as a school-based counselor. She serves as a co-director on NICC’s Muslim Mental Health Aide.

Dr. Souhaila Taha
Souhaila is an undergraduate at the Ohio State University on the pre-med track. She is currently working on research projects surrounding the convergence between medicine and religion. She also works at a child-care center as her primary goal career wise is pediatrics
Co Director
Dr. Amir Shah
Dr. Shah is a Psychiatrist, currently employed in Cleveland, OH. He is fellowship trained in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. He is employed in Cleveland as the attending on a medicine and psychiatry unit, and is the current medical director for emergency psychiatric access services. Interests are focused on working at the interface of medical specialties and Psychiatry, and providing psychotherapy.

Dr. Fatma Chawdry
Dr Chawdry is board certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. Currently employed by Medone Hospitalist Physicians group with a focus on Post-Acute care with special interests in Dementia and Geriatric depression.

Nooralhuda Alhashim
Nooralhuda is an incoming medical student who is involved in research projects focused on the intersection of medicine and race, gender, religion, and policy. She also works as a medical interpreter for Arabic speaking patients. She serves as a program director for the Health Literacy Program and vice head of the Education Department at the Noor Islamic Cultural Center.
Chaplain
Khurram Ahmed
Khurram is a healthcare chaplain and crisis counselor, with experience in spiritual care around issues including grief, loss, bereavement, abuse, and neglect. In becoming conferred the first ever fully-accredited M.Div. In Islamic Chaplaincy degree in US history, Khurram studied Islamic tools and methodologies for spiritual support blending modern ideas of Islamic wellness with traditional sciences

Nesibe Aydin
Nesibe is a certified school counselor with experience in college and career counseling, gifted & talented education and social and emotional learning. She dedicates her freetime to coaching middle school, high school and college students to reach their highest potential through character and habit developments. She also provides guidance toward their higher education choice, course selection, and career pathways.

Mariyama Diallo
Mariyama Diallo is an educator with a Pre-k to 3rd grade Early Childhood Education licensure as well as a Pre-K to 3rd grade Intervention Specialist. She worked at Sunrise Academy for 13 years and is now an Intervention Specialist in the Hilliard School District. During her free time, Mariyama is involved with the Noor Islamic Community Center Parent Support Group and volunteers with different organizations throughout the community

Fatimah Masood
Fatimah is a graduate student at Boston University, studying for her Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. She is a Psychiatric Care Program Manager at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, the social media chair for the Franklin County Suicide Prevention Coalition, and a volunteer with One Divine Line To Health, an organization serving survivors of human trafficking, sex trafficking, substance misuse, and violence. She has been a call-taker and group trainer at the National Suicide Prevention Hotline for 5 years and was the president of Ohio State’s Suicide Prevention Services organization during her undergraduate. She is planning to apply to med schools after her masters and is interested in work and research in holistic healthcare approaches

Noor Chaudhry
Noor is an undergraduate psychology major at The Ohio State University, with an interest in clinical and social psychology. She hopes to fight against mental health stigmas in her Pakistani-American community. Outside of her studies, she is a student ambassador for OSU’s Psychology Department and is a Morrill Scholar, frequently learning about issues faced by underrepresented communities.

Dena Martini
Dena is an undergraduate student at The Ohio State University who aspires to become a physician. She is involved in several projects surrounding the intersection of medicine and religion. She dedicates her free time to volunteering, tutoring students from underprivileged communities, and mentoring youth at Noor Islamic Cultural Center.

Dr. Sondos Al Sad is the head of education department at the Noor Islamic Cultural center (2018-2022), program manager for NICC Muslim Mental Health Aide, board member of the Initiative on Islam and Medicine, volunteer researcher at the Family and Youth Institute , volunteering provider at Noor Clinic , Columbus Free Clinic, and Helping Hands Clinic, and currently works as a clinical assistant professor in the Family and Community Medicine Department. Passionate about medical education, Muslim healthcare , community engagement, and empowerment through tailored education
