Sample Call Script:

Hello, my name is [Your Name] from [Your City]. As an Ohio resident, I’m deeply concerned about the recent statements of support for JewishColumbus’s false accusations against the Noor Islamic Cultural Center (NICC) and its Imam Abdel Moneim Dobal. Nothing in Imam Dobal’s prayer or sermon constitutes incitement, nor does it call for violence against people of the Jewish faith or any other faith tradition.

These claims were based on intentional mistranslation by JewishColumbus. By intentionally inserting inflammatory words like “annihilation” and “extermination”, JewishColumbus has put a target on a mosque and Ohio’s Muslim community. This reckless behavior will lead to heightened Islamophobia at a time in which hate crimes are rising across the nation.

I urge you to take a path that unifies Ohio’s communities and meet with NICC leadership to hear directly from them. Leadership should be rooted in truth, fairness, and accountability—not in the amplification of fear or division.

Feel free to use your own words or add a personal note.

Why This Matters

Repeating unverified claims gives legitimacy to misinformation and fuels Islamophobia.
Our elected officials must lead with truth, fairness, and responsibility — not fear or haste.

As Ohioans and community members, our voices matter. Every letter and phone call amplifies our collective call for integrity and justice.

Please take both actions today — and share this email with family, friends, and your networks. Together we can insist on leadership grounded in truth, dignity, and respect.

With gratitude,
Noor Islamic Cultural Center
